Aug 29 Everyday 10 Minute Makeup

This is the exact makeup routine I do on summer weekdays! On weekends I do more, like liquid eyeliner and a full eyeshadow look, and in the winter I use full coverage foundation because my skin doesn't respond well to cold weather. In the summer I only use BB cream because I don't need full coverage and my skin thrives in the heat!

I always start with a clean face and use my favorite face wash from California. It is all organic and only two ingredients! Currently using a Foreo Luna Fofo as well.

I use two un-pictured primers, and they make a huge difference in how my makeup looks! I mix my two favorites together which are both linked at the end.

I apply my concealer first before my BB cream because it is a much lighter shade than the rest of my face in the summer, and I need the BB cream over it to blend correctly.

My favorite BB cream is by Loreal, and I love this magic one because I can use it all year and it always matches my skin tone perfectly! I think it has just enough coverage to even out skin tone but not look caked on.

This Tarte palette came in my FabFitFun box for Summer '18, and I am OBSESSED with it. It's all I need and much smaller than the palette I used to use by NYX. I use the "shade" contour for under my cheekbones, top of my forehead and outside of my nose, and the "stunner" and "lit" highlights for my cheekbones, between my eyebrows and down my nose to cupids bow.

For my eyes (I use Naked palettes for the weekends but I go light for my daytime look) I use the same Tarte palette again. The shade "strobe" goes on my browbone and in the inside corners of my eyes. The shade "sculpt" goes in my crease, and "fire" goes on my entire lid to blend everything perfectly!

My blush is e.l.f. brand and people are always surprised to hear that! It doesn't have shimmer, and it goes on matte with a light pink glow if you only use a little like I do! For the price, you just can't beat it. I've had this exact blush for years and use it every day because you only need a tiny touch of it to show up.

For eyebrows I use an amazing dupe for the Anastasia Brow Wiz, and for a third of the price! I use the color taupe for a light brown that I can build upon. My eyebrow hairs are crazy, so I find they look best when I use a taming gel, like the one pictured from elf.

Now for the best part! My mascara is heaven sent. I have always had long eyelashes anyways, but this mascara is my FAVORITE. I have probably used every mascara under the sun, including high end ones, but I prefer this drugstore one! The trick here is to apply two coats. This has been the only mascara to add volume AND highlight their length, and not clumping like the others seem to do!

Just look at the difference! My left eyelashes have 2 coats of mascara, and my right has one. That second coat is magic.

Last step: I use a facial spray to hold all my makeup in place. The Morphe one linked below is amazing and smells so nice too!

I am using Burt's Bees lipstick in this tutorial but have since switched to using MAC lipsticks once I finally had a MAC counter open near me and got to find my two favorite everyday nudes! I have linked my lip liner that goes perfectly with both, and the two nudes I switch between everyday.
