Best Steak Marinade

I don’t eat steak on a regular basis, but when I do, it’s going to be THE BEST steak. Ya know? I love this marinade recipe because it really dresses up and tenderizes the tougher steak when you’re making steak bites or just want a steak option that doesn’t break the bank like a filet can. OR, if you’re having a filet, like we did last night, use this marinade to dress it up even more!! I’ve never been one to marinate a filet mignon because it’s already the best cut of meat but I’m a flavor freak and why not make a filet EVEN BETTER!?

The Best Steak Marinade Recipe:

1/2 cup soy sauce (I use 1/4 low sodium soy sauce and 1/4 coconut aminos)

1/3 cup olive oil

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chopped garlic

2 tablespoons dried basil

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

Sprinkle of sea salt

Put all ingredients in a gallon baggie and mix well before dropping in steak! keep flipping it over every hour in the fridge and marinate for at least 2-3 hours, overnight if possible! I only did 3.5 hours for these two giant filet mignon cuts and it was PERFECT.

Here’s the finished product:
