Weekly Happenings- December 22

Welcome to week three of my 4 part goal setting series!

Productivity Tip of the Week

STEP THREE: BUILD HABITS

Now is your time to come up with and practice your daily habits that will help you meet your goals.  If we are following our example from Step 2 last week, you would spend this week really thinking of the daily or weekly habits you need to stick to in 2022 in order to reach your quarterly goals, thus reaching your yearly goals.

Now is a good time to download the habit tracker app and write out the goals you come up with.  Each day, add or subtract each habit on your habit list as needed.  You can come up with as many habits as you’d like- if there’s ever a time to get too carried away and fail, NOW IS THE TIME.  Go ahead and practice logging your habits each evening in the app, and make this a habit. Also, if you are already struggling to make a habit happen every day, that’s perfectly okay and just according to plan! This isn’t 2022 yet- its just a practice run! Take it seriously but also don’t feel guilty because this is the point of this week.

This is the most important step because you are really setting yourself up for either failure or success in 2022.  If you haven’t read it yet, go ahead and read Atomic Habits and try to read it all before 2022 so you can better understand why smaller goals (even if the tiny habits seem insignificant or “too easy”) are better in the long run.

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Building habits really should inspire you.  They become the skeleton of each and every day, and when you build upon those habits each day, you are becoming better and better.  This really is the goal for my 4 step program- if you use this to stay on track during 2022, I guarantee it will be your best year yet.  And then, you’ll learn from this year and you’ll work at it in 2023.  It won’t really matter what year it is because every day you’ll work on your habits and meeting the small goals and that is how you can change your life.

Outfit Favorites of the Week

I mentioned the marshmallow pants from Aerie last week, but they’ve been a favorite this week too! I also have been living in my Barefoot Dreams robe since it’s definitely cold every morning and evening now.  I just ordered another pair of these Aerie flare leggings as well- they are so flattering and featured in last weeks YouTube video, which I attached here:

New YouTube Video

Amazon Fall/Winter haul is coming in about 24 hours! I’ve been editing away but recently came down with a cold, and on top of that, my Finance job has been extra stressful causing me to have a meltdown on Monday, so I gave myself the grace I needed and took an epsom salt bath and read a book instead on evening.  The video is almost ready thanks to my habit of 15 minutes editing videos per day, but still not ready to be posted yet!

Instead, I’ll share my Reel of Amazon Holiday Dresses:

Books I’m Loving

I’m reading a cute Christmas themed book called One Day in December-  I am so hooked! I love fiction books to really escape sometimes and this one is so cute.

Anything Else I have to tell you!

I really hope you’re finding this series helpful! I’ve been doing the steps along with you each week and I’ve found it helpful myself :)

Xoxo, Jess
