March 2024
As we enter into the last month of the first quarter of 2024, it’s time to reflect on our daily routine and how we are feeling about the year so far. Personally, I’ve already failed at a few of my resolutions, as many people do. According to this article, “Only two weeks into the year, many people have fallen short of their New Year’s goals. The second Friday in January is known as “Quitter’s Day,” when people are most likely to throw in the towel on their resolutions.”
So, maybe you were giving up on a few goals already back in January. And honestly, there a few things I got a little lax on as well in January. The month of February has shown me again how important daily habits are and how consistency is key.
Something I’m remembering as we enter March is to schedule my week and follow through. I am the only one who can hold me accountable and I must stick to my to do list and my own goals to make it anywhere in life. Another tip is to work through my most important task first and just start. Procrastination is a form of perfectionism and we have to let go of the idea that everything has to be “perfect” and just begin where we are.

In honor of my “no buy” month last month, I’ll be skipping this section this month to encourage saving money :) I highly recommend watching my financial wellness YouTube video (in my YouTube videos from February section) instead of shopping my favorites this month!

Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez
Rated 3/5 stars- Cute romantic comedy about Jacob and Briana, two doctors who fall in love following a 3 month act of pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend so that Jacob’s family would not worry about him after his girlfriend ran off with his own brother, and Briana willing to do anything for Jacob since he decided to donate an organ to her brother who is in need of a new kidney. It’s a cute read although a little cheesy, but an easy read. I laughed and enjoyed reading about the two falling in love. Also, the book is a second book in a series which I had no clue about until after I finished it. You can read this as a standalone, but the first book is about another couple who make an appearance in this book.
Living Untethered by Michael Singer
Rated 4/5 stars- I highly recommend reading both this one and the prequel, the untethered soul. I think these are both life changing books and this one teaches you how to take the knowledge learned from the first book and actually apply it into your daily life to live untethered.
Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
Rated 4/5 stars- LOVE THIS!! I loved this book so much I almost bought tshirts inspired by the series. I preferred this over the ACOTAR series. The book is about Violet, a daughter of a war hero in a fantasy world. She gets sent to rider college to be a dragon rider, one of the most dangerous things you can be in this world. She is one of the frailest students and learns how to fight opponents using her knowledge and not just physical strength. I love the dragon theme in the book and I was hooked very early on in the book. I usually don’t go for fantasy books (ACOTAR is the only other fantasy series I read) but I loved this one so much!
Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez
Rated 4/5 stars- This is actually book 1 in a series, but I accidentally read book 2 first. It doesn’t matter which order you read them in, but book 2 is Yours Truly. This one is a cute rom com about Alexis, a doctor with a family legacy she feels she must follow in the medical field. She falls in love with a tattooed small town boy 8 years younger than her during her breakup with her surgeon fiance. I really enjoyed reading this story and think the series is adorable! It’s not too cheesy, and one thing I love about it is the drama parts aren’t so dramatic that you are annoyed because communication would fix the issues- it’s a more realistic drama plot if that makes sense.
