Productivity Tip of the Week
I wrote about the Facebook/Instagram outage last week, because having the Instagram app down for 6 hours was just what I needed to realize how much time I waste on Instagram stories consuming content! I have made it a priority to limit the time I spend consuming others’ content and have made it a priority to maximize my time creating my content and focusing on myself.
I have been so much more creative and productive by doing this! So my tip for you- stay in your lane! Make a list every day of what is most important for you to get done. And do that! Focus 100% on it, and schedule a chunk of time to complete the task.
Today, I time blocked 30 minutes to write this post and get it posted on the blog. Knowing I only have 30 minutes to complete this task makes me more motivated to focus on it and I will complete it in that amount of time.
Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week
Create a new identity for yourself. Who is the woman you want to be and what does she do every day? What habits does she have, and what would she choose at any point during the day?
When making goals for yourself, the secret lies in making decisions based off the identity you want for yourself. If you identify as an organized person, you will be more likely to make your bed every day (the goal). If you identify as an athletic and healthy person, you will go to the gym and choose healthier meals (the goal).
It can be hard to stick to new habits and routines if you are only after the result of being organized or healthy, but it will be second nature to stick to those habits and routines if you identify as the person who is healthy and organized.
Jewelry of the Week
I hadn’t worn these hoop earrings from Amazon in a while, and forgot how much I love them! They dress up any outfit, even a t-shirt, and are so lightweight.
I’ve been wearing these 22 gauge hoops from Etsy in my ear piercings and I love them because I never have to take them out! I occasionally take the ones in my first piercing out to wear other earrings instead, but for the most part (especially now that I’m working from home) I wear the small infinity hoops all the time.
Outfit Favorites of the Week
These Lululemon Align joggers are to die for. I thought I would hate them because I don’t like “loose leggings” and that’s what these feel like, but they are SO comfortable and buttery soft I just can’t stop wearing them.
I went into Lululemon and tried on a bunch of different leggings, and decided my next pair is going to be the “Base Pace” legging in the Symphony Blue color because they are perfect for running and more active workouts, without all the pockets and seams! Also love mixing my colors so the blue is going to look so fun with my hot pink tops and sports bras!

Books I’m Loving
I’ve set a new goal for myself to read a new book every week… who knows if I’ll be able to but that would be amazing!
Last week I set the goal to finish “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” and I did it! I love the lessons in the book and it inspired me to focus on what I love doing and stop thinking that little things matter so much.
Now, I’m reading “Atomic Habits” and already feel so motivated and inspired. My biggest mental block is adhering to the identity I gave myself a long time ago, which is the identity of someone who doesn’t meet goals and doesn’t stick to new routines. I’m trying to unlearn that behavior and that identity and identify as someone who does what she sets her mind to!
Anything Else I have to tell you!
Last weekend my husband and I went on our 1 year anniversary trip and we made a promise to each other that every year on our anniversary we will celebrate away from normal life. Even if we have kids and we just stay somewhere overnight in a local B&B, we want to take the time to reconnect and relax and not work or clean the house or anything like that.
I hope we stick to that because I love celebrating us and I think it’s so important!
