Hello from Denver, Colorado!! We are so excited to be here and have always wanted to visit. We have friends who are temporarily living here and we decided to pay them a visit and see a beautiful city!

Productivity Tip of the Week

SLEEP! I am trying to sleep way more than I usually do. I recommend reading Why We Sleep; it’s such an insightful and educational book with facts I had NO idea about when it comes to sleep depravation in the United States and we really underestimate how good sleep is for us! And get this- the most important hours of sleep are the hours of Non-REM sleep, which occur doing the very last part of your sleep cycle at night. What this means is, if you are getting up super early in the morning before your 8-10 hours of sleep are up, you’re cutting out the most important part of the night! That is something I was doing every single day up until I read this book. Now, I make sure to go to bed way earlier on week nights when I HAVE to be awake at 6am at the latest the next morning, and I’m not waking up by an alarm anymore on weekends.

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Listening to my body…

Sometimes I get so caught up in the daily schedule and thinking I have to work out every single day and not eat any “fun” foods or I’ll get really out of control. The bottom line is this: if you are 80% healthy with your exercise and your nutrition, have fun the other 20%! Your cells know what to do with the food you give your body. They adapt and they make the most of what you give them, and you should not feel guilty about a rest day (or 3) or an indulgent meal (or 2), just make sure you are mostly healthy.

Jewelry of the Week

This is random and not even considered jewelry- but this thin workout band for my Apple Watch is on repeat all summer long because it’s not as hot as the thicker, wide ones, and it is a bright white that never gets dirty (seriously- I’ve had it for years now and it’s never gotten dingy!) and easy to wear directly from the gym to the office. I would also purchase in black for a sleeker look.

Outfit Favorites of the Week

These Free People shorts that are literally blowing up the internet are SO good and worth the hype. They have a breathable liner and the support through the midsection is unreal. I wore them last weekend during a stroll in my neighborhood and told my husband my abs were fatigued because the shorts add a supportive tension to your core making my posture better and causing me to keep my core tight and flexed.

I featured these shoes in my latest Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Dupe or Splurge post, and I have worn them non-stop since! They go with dresses, shorts, jeans, leggings, literally everything. I’m currently wearing them in Denver, CO too! They are SO comfortable to wear all day and they are such high quality- on sale still for $100 off!
