Productivity Tip of the Week
Keeping a tidy home is so underrated. My mom raised me in the neatest of conditions and I am so thankful- because now I cannot function if there is clutter around me. I used to think she broke me by making me this way, but now I realize how much negative energy is associated with a cluttered home. If you’re feeling uninspired and lazy in your home and you need to feel more productive, try to keep the clutter picked up and keep things clean and dusted, and see what a difference you feel! I like to use this rule: Only touch something once!
The way this works is, if you take off a shirt, instead of throwing it on the counter, just go ahead and fold it up or put it back on the hanger, only touching it once. If you stay on top of the clutter by implementing this rule, your energy will be more inspired and positive and you will feel like you can get so much more done due to your clear mind!
Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week
This may sound dark and I don’t mean it that way- but this week was a lot of groaning about having to get up early and go to work and live my everyday life. Even with a trip involved, I felt a lot of “ugh I don’t wanna” energy. And something that helps me get out of that rut is to stay on top of my exercises and to remember that every day is the same length of time and it’s going by so fast with or without me. I can choose every day to be excited to live another day and to make the most of it, or I can choose to be lazy and feel worse about it. Our days are numbered, so choose wisely.
Jewelry of the Week
These Kendra Scott crawlers are GORGEOUS! I’ve worn them almost every day because they are so easy to just throw in and they look so fancy! I’ve also been wearing these small hoops from Amazon again lately- had them for YEARS and they still look brand new.
Outfit Favorites of the Week
I finally bought a second pair of black pants for my office wardrobe, and I am loving them so far! I’ve worn them a few times a week for the past few weeks. They are from Target, only $25, and such good quality. They also are high waisted which is a MUST for me, and they are a pull-on, elastic waist.
Also been wearing my Lululemon t-shirt dress, of course. This is SO good and was featured in my latest YouTube video, my Lululemon haul. I have loved wearing my Beatles t-shirt too- this is SO soft, and only $11 on sale right now! I have a size XS/S, and it fits me like a M/L would, so definitely stay true to size!
New YouTube Video
None this week :( I am hard at work editing my Denver vlog to go along with a Denver, Colorado travel blog post! And I am doing brainstorming for video ideas for the next few weeks.
Books I’m Loving
Still reading Why We Sleep every night before bed. I’m about halfway done, but once I’m done I want to buy The One Thing. It’s a book about accomplishing one thing every day and how that is a secret of success.
Anything Else I have to tell you!
I got a promotion at work this week! I’m not huge on titles at companies, and I don’t find a ton of satisfaction in my corporate career, but I am definitely grateful and it feels good to be appreciated for my hard work and dedication to the company the last year.
