Weekly Happening- September 14
Productivity Tip of the Week
Time blocking is when you take chunks of your day and dedicate them to certain tasks. For example: from 5-7, at least 4 days a week, I would dedicate just to Youtube and my Blog and Instagram, and from 6:30-8 am, I would dedicate to my morning routine and workouts. When you structure your day with designated time blocks, you are proven to get more work done in a shorter amount of time because you are 100% focused on the task at hand and know you have limited time to complete it.
I have been attempting to add this into my schedule and can’t wait to report back in a week or two!
Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week
It’s okay to be in a rut creatively or just in your life in general. With social media, I find myself more often than not comparing my life to everyone else’s, thinking they have it all together 100% of the time. I see people succeeding so much faster than I can, and I always wonder what I’m doing wrong. But that’s part of the problem- when I compare and get caught up in thinking I’m not as good, I stop creating content and it causes me to stunt my own growth.
I know it’s easier said than done, but really try to remember you are on your own journey and that is such a blessing. No one else can be on the same journey as you and that should be celebrated.
Jewelry of the Week
I ordered this ring from Amazon, but I got the wrong color. I got all rose gold instead of the mixed metal, so I re-ordered from a different seller, which is the one I’m linking below. I can’t wait to get it in the mail because I think it’s gorgeous! I also ordered these small hoops from an Etsy shop, but had to exchange because a 7mm fits all of my ear piercings much better than the 6 and the 8mm do. I will have a picture next week but I love the way they look!
Outfit Favorites of the Week
I have been wearing these Abercrombie jeans every time I wear jeans now, and they fit so great! I also love the feel of them because they aren’t super stretchy, but they aren’t exactly rigid either. They feel more like a good classic denim but still have enough stretch that I can sit cross-legged. Also, these Free People The Way Home shorts are a go-to for running and walking workouts. They are supers supportive in my waist and also super cute! I ordered this $22 sweater too for this fall- I got it in the wine color, but I would recommend as many colors as possible! It was $78!

Books I’m Loving
I finished “The ONE Thing” last week, and now I’m re-reading “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” because to be honest I really need to buck up and re-read it! I’ve been comparing myself WAY too much to everyone else and thinking people are judging me and it’s not how I usually am, so I decided to re-read this book to remember that I have the confidence and ability to do what I want to do and make my own life decisions.
Anything Else I have to tell you!
I took a week off between jobs, and it’s probably the best decision I’ve made all year :’) I am fixing things around the house, truly relaxing, focusing on my nutrition, keeping up with my workouts, and finishing my huge closet purge this week!
