Weekly Happening- July 10
Productivity Tip of the Week
Don’t worry about being “perfect”. I have so many ideas for how to reach my goals, and on Sundays when I sit down and plan my week I have a list of things I want to do. I always wondered why I would procrastinate them and not get things done until I learned about true perfectionism. I thought perfectionists were the opposite of me- people who get everything done perfectly and were hard on themselves if they didn’t complete a task perfectly. That wasn’t my problem because my problem was never starting things and feeling bad about that! Turns out, being a perfectionist shows up in procrastination because if you’re like me, you don’t know where to begin with goals and ideas because you don’t want to face shame if the idea doesn’t turn out like you imagined.
After learning this, I felt understood and validated, and I realized I wasn’t a procrastinator, I just overthought all of my ideas and didn’t want anyone to judge me if I try something and it doesn’t work out perfectly.
If you find yourself falling into this same pattern of not being short on ideas, but not seeing any of them through, you may actually be a perfectionist like me! This week, if you want to create something, just do it and don’t worry about waiting for the perfect time or perfect circumstance.
Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week
I made a new page in my planner that I use daily for tracking the rest of the year. Last week was the first week in the second half of the year. It’s wild we are already halfway through 2022, and I needed to hold myself accountable for certain habits and goals I have. I changed a few goals, and eliminated the goals I had that were not going to be met.
What are you going to do with the second half of your year? Are there things you want to accomplish in 6 months time? Make a new goal sheet, evaluate the goals you may have set in January when the new year was fresh, and think of July as a fresh start as well. Officially halfway through the year- you have 6 months to crush those goals!
Outfit Favorites of the Week
I finally got my hands on the Lululemon Align shorts in Sonic Pink and I am so excited about it! I also ordered my 3rd All Yours Crop Tee in white. These shirts are “Vitasea” fabric, and they are the softest, most lightweight fabric. The white one is see through, but I love that because I can wear my fun colored sports bras underneath the shirt and you can still see what color they are.

Books I’m Loving
I’m reading the last book in the Blue Moon Small Town Romance series, and I am loving this one! This series of 8 books has been so cute to read through the summer. I’m also linking my Kindle below and the Kindle case I have which magnetically turns the Kindle off and on when you open or close the case. I needed a case especially for travel because it kept turning on randomly since the wake button was accidentally pressed, and this case keeps that from happening.
Anything Else I have to tell you!
I ended up not shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary sale at all this year- there is nothing that I need that I don’t already have and this month I’m focusing my budget on skincare since my skin has been extra textured and I’ve been experiencing breakouts more than usual.
I also have some super exciting news to share in a few weeks… stay tuned!
