Productivity Tip of the Week

This week, I’m going back to basics again. I wrote about this a few weeks back, but writing out my to-do list every Sunday for the week ahead, and checking it or adding to it daily.  Essentially, having a to-do list every single day and crossing the items off one by one every day.  Something as simple as this is something I got out of the habit of doing for a few months, and I notice not only am I getting less done in my week, I also was feeling like I didn’t accomplish much at the end of the week and it made me feel unmotivated and not productive.  That’s a really bad feeling when you’re second income depends on the content you’re creating and how much work you put in to content creation every week.

Last week I really focused on my to-do list and writing a new one every day and revisiting the list a few times per day.  I found my productivity increased, and I felt like I could truly relax at the end of every day knowing what I got done.

Motivational/Inspirational Message of the Week

Make your house a home.  We spent all weekend re-doing our laundry room and I am SO excited about it.  It’s something that I have been wanting to do for years but just now got around to it, and it’s amazing how happy something like this can make you.  Even if you don’t want to do a full on renovation, just keeping your house clean and organized and adding some flair that feels true to you will turn your house into a home.  When your home is clean, organized, and clutter free, your brain will be too! This leaves more space for enjoying your family, making healthy meals, and coming up with new ideas.

Outfit Favorites of the Week

My cloud slides from Target look just like the $400 Yeezy slides and they are so comfortable! I wear them to water my plants, run to the mailbox, run errands, and just around the house sometimes when I’m walking around a lot inside and my feet start to ache.  No surprise here, but I’ve been living in my Lululemon Align shorts and an All Yours cropped t-shirt because it’s been so hot and humid here in NC that this is all I can stand to wear.  I choose to wear either an Align bra, a Flow Y bra, or a Like a Cloud bra as well because they are so comfortable and seamless under a t-shirt!

This past week I did a ton of filming for my YouTube channel, so I have a lot of editing to focus on the next few weeks and no new video this week, but since my last video didn’t upload properly you may have missed it during last week’s newsletter and here it is:

Books I’m Loving

I finished the last book of the Blue Moon series finally.  I loved this series, and I’m excited to finally read something different so if you have any recommendations definitely let me know! The Wife Between Us is next on the list to read so hopefully I love it!

Anything Else I have to tell you!

Personally, my goal for this week is nutrition.  It hasn’t been bad lately, but I’ve been way more flexible with my nutrition and sweets especially.  I am always flexible and I never say no to something because it may be labeled as “unhealthy” if I want it, but I do limit how many treats I have and how many times we get Chick-Fil-A, and lately I haven’t been focusing on meal planning or prepping.  This leads me to get fast food or eat leftovers from a restaurant instead of making nourishing meals for lunch and dinner.

This week, I’m making a menu for our meals and sticking to it so I can eat better and feel better!

On my menu:

Breakfast

  • Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie (recipe here)

  • Greek yogurt bowls with strawberries, blueberries, walnuts, goji berries, chia seeds and honey

  • Avocado egg toast

Lunch

  • mixed greens salad with grilled chicken, apples, and goat cheese

Dinner

  • Salmon with roasted brussel sprouts

  • Shrimp Pad-thai

  • Sautéed cod with zucchini
